Duel Nature Safari Final 9

This is the safari final 9 layout for the 2010 Duel Nature event.

The final 9 will be played on Sunday afternoon and will include

the top four players (+ ties) from the Open Division.

Hole #1 plays from the #14 tee to the long position of hole 11, Geezer Way.  No OB.

Hole #2 plays from the #12 tee to the #13 basket.  The Lake is the only OB.  For safty

reasons, at the TD’s discretion, if the shelter in the fairway is occupied then the hole

may be played from the #13 “coffin” teepad with the normal OB in play.

Hole #3 plays from #11 (Geezer Way) to a temporary basket on the hill to the right.  No OB.

Hole #4 plays from the #18 tee to the #3 basket.  The paved parking area is OB but the island

             is safe.

Hole #5 plays from tee #5 to basket #6.  Fence on the left is OB and so is the walking path (&

right) that is normally OB on hole 6.

Hole #6 plays from the old tee pad at the base of the hill below the hole 6 basket to the #4

basket.  OB on or across the path along the left side of the fairway.

Hole #7 plays from the “Cool Shoez” memorial marker (just across the path from #18 tee pad)

to basket 12.  This is a shot to an island hole and we are using the “buncr” rule ala

USDGC which means that any shot that does not land on the island or cross over

in bounds is a re-tee with no additional penalty stroke (ie. shooting two from the tee

if first shot doesn’t make it).  Shots that cross the island but don’t stay on the island

play from where they went out with a penalty stroke.

Hole #8 plays from the #17 tee, backwards, to basket 15 in the middle postion.  Lake is OB.

Hole #9 plays from a temp tee near the tennis courts to the temp basket near tourney central.

This is the same basket that will be used for the round 9 putting game.  The pond and

             the parking lot are OB.
